It’s time we sang Gordon’s praises for keeping us out of the Euro. If Tony had had his way, as he did on Iraq, we’d be as far up shit creek as Greece, Spain and Iceland.
They’re all trapped in deflation and can’t devalue their way out as Italy and France used to and we are now.
That’s the way to do it. It’s what will now save us.
Gordon’s achievement is as great as Harold Wilson’s in keeping us out of the Vietnam War. But when do you here him being praised for it? Except there.
