Just finished Arthur Schlesinger’s journals 1952-2000 the best and most charming book on American politics I’ve ever read.
I finish on the day Obama sews up the Democratic nomination. Good, though sadly Hillary was better on economics, health care and foreign policy.
It’s futile to see her as a Veep – what a ménage a trois that would be. She needs to become a Senate leader and give her economic advisers to Obama. Or perhaps we could get her for the Labour Party. |
