Blairites have a Southern strategy.
Labourites suffer from Northern discomfort.
Blairites are better company but carry knives for your back.
Labourites ain`t fun to be with and carry bludgeons they`re too nervous to use.
Blairites are upwardly mobile.
Labourites are downwardly miserable.

Government unpopularity is getting serious. As I trudged into Grimsby in the pouring rain a passer-by shouted “It`s your government that`s responsible for this”.
“For what?”
“This bloody weather – it`s all Labour`s fault”.

I didn`t stick around to abstain in person on Post Office closures. No point in supporting Tory hypocrisy or Liberal claims to be wise after every event (though never before).
No point either in supporting a programme that`s cutting community centres. The fight now must be to ensure that this is the last ever cull of Post Offices. No more. |
