Open government enthusiasts are wasting so much time and money on getting information about MP expenses. It’s important. Can’t they find something more important to do: like getting to know how many MPs you have in PM’s Question Time?
However, the people have a right to know. So here’s my own exploitation on my London allowance:
- All the £26,00 goes on paying my £2million mortgage
- My accommodation is a modest 17 room manger in Grosvenor Gardens
- I’m happy to let some of my spare rooms to distressed ladies from Emperor Good Times Inc.
My assistant, Mr Carter Ruck, will be happy to deal with all further enquiries now my files have been accidentally shredded.

Just read Cherie’s book. It really doesn’t deserve either £1million or all the criticisms. Too many bits have been wrenched out to attack Gordon. The reviewers have been far too condescending. It’s honest, chipper and a bit too blunt. But it’s tasteless. I don’t want to know about ‘contraceptive equipment’ or who she screwed and when. Verdict: not worth a million quid or the hostility that’s been poured on poor Cherie for writing it. It’s good to have her story even if it’s a bit dull. She’s a dependant. An adoring acolyte, not an independent force.

I’ve now decided on the title of our new programme: The Great Rebalancing. Rebalancing between Production and Finance, between financial institutions and the people, between rich and poor, between markets and justice, and between growth and redistribution.
Gordon’s just the man to do it. Provided he relegates Prudence to the whore house.
Announce that the Nice Times is over. We need a programme for Nasty Times. But we’re going to come through. Together. |
