Grimsby Taxes and Worship PDF Print E-mail

North East Lincs. taxes church attendance.  Attending last Sunday's Christmas carol service at the Salvation Army Citadel on Duncombe St, your's truly was amazed to get an £80 parking fine for parking on the Duncombe St car park without a pay and display.  On Sunday!  At 6.15pm!

Civilised places don't charge for parking on Sunday.  North East Lincs. does.  It may argue that supervised parking protects cars from break-ins.  That will be news for the lady whose car windows were smashed at the Remembrance day service in November.

Either make parking free for worshippers.  Or donate payments and fines to the churches.
