Government says we can’t have the promised referendum on the constitution because it’ not a new constitution but a treaty even if they’re both the same. A downright lie? No, a Euro-truth.

Jacqui Smith is daft to say she daren’t go out alone at night. Encourages fear of crime. Exaggerates the situation. Ain’t true. She’s a big lass. She can charm her way out of anything.

Since the new session began early November I’ve spoken every week, asked lots of interesting questions and published various opinion pieces. The Grimsby Telegraph has been in touch only three times. Once to ask me to deliver a letter to David Cameron. I did, though they may have been uncertain about which party I belong to. Once to ask why I was promoting Young’s Great Grimsby fish. Once to ask me how I’m going to vote on Wednesday on MPs’ pay.
I understand. No room for politics in the news about crime, rape, violence, thuggery, death, burglaries, beatings, drugs and booze. Give us this day our daily murder. Then we don’t want to talk about education, health or anything important.
