John Coates, the Australian swimming coach, is a well known loud mouth but he's quite right to say that British swimmers in Beijing have done quite well for a country with no swimming pools and very little soap.

Being British I'm not sure what soap is but if the ratio of swimming pools to people is taken into account then we wouldn't win any medals and Oz would take them all.  So there must be something wrong with Aussie swimmers.
