Talk about immigrants replacing British strikers- sorry- workers in all the low paid jobs. All the Big Issue sellers I see in Grimsby, London and Halifax are all foreigners.

Two weeks ago in a Public Accounts Committee hearing on government office space I pointed out that the Treasury building (now flogged off on PFI) is so underused that when I look in the basement rooms as I pass every day I never see any human life.
I still pass every day. I still don’t see any sign of life. But now the blinds have been half lowered so I can’t see anything. Is it to avoid panic about the gathering crisis?

Who the hell advises Gordon? He needs a ‘feet on the ground’ group meeting weekly (as distant from Cabinet which meets weakly) to advise him on political reality, stop him getting into unecessary fights and keep him in touch with the real world. Which is in Grimsby.
