The Pebble Society, our top psephologists, took a vote on when Tony will go. Majority vote for 2007.
My plea is for a great policy debate. Gordon’s won’t be too different from Tony, though it will look more Labour, and be attacked as such. But we do need a new Manifesto next time and that should be decided by the Party and a wide-ranging debate: More top taxes? More redistribution? Pensions? Let’s discuss that now while Brownies and Blairies play their little games so the winner has a policy approach ready made. |
